Grand Knight |

He is elected & is responsible for the overall welfare of the council. It is his obligation to inspire mutual cooperation & voluntary service among the officers and members. He must provide thoughtful & inspired leadership to the Council officers, the Program Director, his chairman and all the members of the Council. He appoints the Membership & Program Directors and their activities chairman. |

He will primarily act as spiritual advisor to the Brother Knights and families of that Council. He reports on any business or religious matters relative to his office. He servers as advisor to the Church chairman & members of that committee. |

He is elected and is the second in command of the local Council and assists the GK in operation of the Council. In absence of the GK, he will preside at Council meetings and functions as the GK. He is elected & is responsible for keeping a true record of all the actions of the Council and maintains all correspondence of the Council. He will prepare minutes taken at the monthly meetings and present them to the GK in a timely manner. |

He is appointed by Supreme for a period of three years. He must be bonded and is responsible for all the financial & membership records for the Council. He collects/receives all monies that come into the Council from ANY source, including membership dues. He initiates retention measures to prevent members from being suspend ...this includes sending out billing notices. He is responsible for depositing monies into the Councils' bank account. He ensures the Constitutional Roll is signed by members receiving their 1st Degree, handles the supply orders for the Council and various other duties. |

He is elected & is in charge of handling all Council funds and is also bonded. He receives a copy of deposit receipts from the Financial Secretary and must keep proper track of Council accounts & transactions. He issues payments to Supreme and other individuals or organizations. He must provide up-to-date records to the GK & FS. |

He need not be a member of the legal profession, however, he should be thoroughly familiar with all laws of the Order and with the by-laws of the Council.
