October
Family of the Month Diane and Bob Sirois Bob and Diane give countless hours to your council activities and our church. Without their support our council, the ladies auxiliary and our church would be less than whole. Their son Craig is helping to get our squires group started. Thanks Bob, Diane and Craig. Dino Yearego Dino
has been our Keep Christ in Christmas car man. He has gone to countless
meetings at other councils to sell these important items for the
council. Thanks Dino for all you do.
November
Family of the Month Pam and Mauricio Frye Pam and Mauricio Frye are our October Family of the month. Mauricio does so much for our council that would not be possible without the support of his family. Pam is an officer in the Ladies Auxiliary. Thank you both for a wonderful example of what a family can be. November Knight of the Month Carl Schuckenbrock Carl Schuckenbrock is our November Knight of the month. Carl took on our second annual golf tournament and did a wonderful job. The tournament helped raise funds for the Saint Francis Benevcelont fund. Way to go Carl. Joke of the Month “The Old Dilapidated Boat” Joe and John were identical twins. Joe owned an old dilapidated boat and kept pretty much to himself. One day he rented out his boat to a group of out-of-Stater’s who ended up sinking it. He spent all day trying to salvage as much stuff as he could from the sunken vessel and was out of touch all that day and most of the evening. Unbeknownst to him, his brother John’s wife had died suddenly in his absence. When he got back on shore he went into town to pick up a few things at the grocery. A kind old woman there mistook him for John and said, “I’m so sorry for your loss. You must feel terrible.” Joe, thinking she was talking about his boat said, “Hell no! Fact is I’m sort of glad to be rid of her. She was a rotten old thing from the beginning. Her bottom was all shriveled up and she smelled like old dead fish. She was always holding water. She had a bad crack in the back and a pretty big hole in the front too. Every time I used her, her hole got bigger and she leaked like crazy.” “I guess what finally finished her off was when I rented her to those four guys looking for a good time. I warned them that she wasn’t very good and that she smelled bad. But they wanted her anyway. The damn fools tried to get in her all at one time and she split right up the middle.” The old woman fainted. LADIES
AUXILIARY CORNER God Bless,
Grand Knight’s CornerAs you read this note we closing out the second quarter of our fraternal year 2001-2002. My how time passes quickly. Passbook sales and the golf tournament are complete. We are selling Keep Christ in Christmas car flags. The holiday season is here and we have several events on the calendar for next year for you to get involved. You might have noticed that I have combined the October, November, and December into one newsletter. With all that has been happening this fall I thought the timing was right for a little less mail to be at your door. I want to wish everyone the happiest of Holiday seasons. If the events of September 11th have taught us anything it is too cherish the moments we have. As you gather to celebrate the birth of our Lord, I hope you enjoy your family and friends and find the following prayer my wife, Teri, found a comfort.
Fraternally yours, |
