September Family of the Month

Jason and Kelly Church

Jason and Kelly planed our first couples social of the year.  We had over 30 people enjoy a relaxing evening at Macaroni’s Grill.  Jason is our outside Guard and Kelly is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.  Thank you Jason and Kelly for helping all of us gather to relax amongst friends.

September Co-Knight's of the Month

Roldan Diaz and Stan Zmorzynski

Roldan and Stan are Co-Knights of the month for September.  Together they spent countless hours in front of Safeway selling passbooks.  They are both active officers as well.  Thanks gentlemen for helping us get through the passbook sales so quickly this year.

Joke of the Month

A man fell asleep on the beach under the noonday sun and suffered a severe sunburn and heatstroke.  He was taken to the hospital -- his skin was bright red, painful,
and blistered.  Anything that touched him caused agony.

The doctor prescribed continued intravenous feedings of water and electrolytes, a mild sedative, and Viagra.

"What good will Viagra do him in that condition?" the nurse inquired.

The doctor replied, "It'll keep the sheet off of him."

LADIES AUXILIARY CORNER

I would like to say THANK YOU; to all who helped with the Baby Bank Campaign
we only had 14 cans left as of 10-18. We are still working on the baskets if you have anything please let Amanda or June know. Please do not forget the Frisco Adopt-a-Street On November 3rd at 9:30. Bring garden gloves and wear shoes that can get dirty. The next meeting is November 7th at Elizabeth McCarthy's. Please bring a nonperishable food item to add to the Thanksgiving basket we are giving to a family in need. If you cannot bring it to the meeting please call or e-mail me and I will see that we get it in the basket.

God Bless,
Diane Sirois

Grand Knight’s Corner

As you read this note we have begun the second quarter of fraternal year 2001-2002.  My how time passes quickly.    Passbook sales are complete and the golf tournament is just around the corner.  The holiday season is fast approaching and we have several events on the calendar for you to get involved.

The events of September 11th are still on all of our minds.  I recently took a flight to Austin, a place I have flown often, and found many things have changed.  Armed guards were everywhere I looked, and everyone’s picture I. D. was checked at least three times.  At the end of my flight the flight attendant welcomed us to our destination saying, “Thank you for flying with us and helping us to keep our jobs.”

 Fraternally yours,

 Mark B. Henry
