The Grand Knight’s Corner

Don’t blink now…the Holidays will soon be upon us!! Halloween gets things started and it finally feels like fall (football in September in Texas still feels like summer!!). The decorations are on the houses and in the stores…scary goblins, et al!!

Getting involved in organizations like the Knights is a little like Halloween…it can be scary. More demands for our time is difficult…but, as the saying goes, if it was easy any ol’ goblin could do it! Get involved…especially with the great family activities planned for the next several months. Your involvement makes a difference!!

Trick or Treat…get involved with our Council activities and I guarantee it will be a treat!!

October Family of the Month

Bill and Daryn Hunt

The Hunt’s have been active participants in our church and the Knights. Bill, being the Church Committee chairman, has organized the monthly rosaries sponsored by our Council…and this is with his job keeping him out of town for long stretches. Daryn is a Eucharistic Minister for our Parish. Thanks, Bill and Daryn, for making our Council and Parish better from your involvement.

October Knight of the Month

Sean McCarthy

Our Youth Committee chairman has planned some great activities this fraternal year. In October, Sean coordinated 2 major activities…Drug Awareness Week (ribbons and information were distributed by the Knights after each of Oct. 21/22 Masses) and a Pumpkin Patch outing on Oct. 21.

Thanks, Sean, for your great ideas and leadership in our youth activities!!
