Scatter shooting (my apologies to Blackie Sherrod in borrowing his by-line!) wondering …whatever happened to Easter Bonnets?

Easter is here (already!) and, although not as much as Christmas, the commercialism still abounds. Easter bonnets, Easter outfits, Easter baskets….etc. While all of this is enjoyable, once again we need to focus on the reason we celebrate Easter…the Lord is Risen, rejoice and be glad!!

Here’s hoping that your Easter Sunday is a blessed and joyful day.

PS. Easter Bonnets may be passé’, but nobody better mess with chocolate bunnies…in fact they need to make the ears longer (they are easier to break off that way…trust me, we are talking much experience here!!).

General Items

Are you interested in an officer or committee director position? Elections for the 2000-2001 Council officers will be conducted during the May membership meeting – If you are interested in a position contact Ken Franch (972/712-1185), Ed Glassman (972/712-2141), Bob O’Connor (972/377-3381 or Bob Sirois (972/712-1269).

Our 1st annual Awards Banquet and Installation of Officers will be held the evening of June 17, 2000. All Knights and their spouses are requested to attend!!! Please mark your calendars…more details to follow.

Reminder: Membership meeting is Thursday, April 27, 2000, 7:30pm at the Church!!!!

The Kristoff’s are an active family in our council and parish…both Paul and Vicki are Eucharistic Ministers. Paul coordinates our Parish Outreach program and is the Community Director for our Council. Thanks to the Kristoff’s for their generous giving of their time to our Parish and Council!!

March Knight of the Month

Craig Martin

Craig, as our Council Warden, has numerous duties to perform before, during and after our officer and membership meetings.  He sets up our meeting accommodations, provides the meeting refreshments and puts the meeting room back in order after the meetings. Also, with the Guards assistance, checks for our

membership cards. Thanks to our Worthy Warden for his efforts on our behalf!!
